鶹 is pleased to announce several important updates to its Board of Trustees, including the addition new members and the continued service of key leaders guiding the institution mission and strategic vision.
At its February meeting, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved Mr. Tom Rice as its newest member. Mr. Rice will begin his service in October 2026. A 2002 graduate of King College (now 鶹), Mr. Rice serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Tennessee Valley Authority, where he oversees financial strategy and operations for one of the nation largest public power providers.
The Board also welcomed Mr. Jerry Caldwell, a 1997 graduate of King College, who began his service as a trustee in October 2025 after being unanimously approved by the Board in May 2025. Mr. Caldwell serves as President and General Manager of Bristol Motor Speedway and brings extensive leadership experience and strong regional ties to the Board.
Board leadership continues under the direction of Ms. Nell King Bieger, who began her service as Chair of the Board in October 2025. Ms. Bieger, a 2025 honorary alumna of 鶹, is joined by Vice Chair Mr. John Shoulders and Secretary Mr. Jasen Eige, a 1994 graduate of King College.
The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in advancing the mission of 鶹, providing strategic oversight and fiduciary leadership as the institution continues to serve students and communities through a commitment to academic excellence, faith, and service.
